In honor of the Route 66 Centennial, That Lebanese Place is bringing a one-day event to Historic Commercial Street in Springfield, Missouri.
66 falafel. 60 minutes.
One winner.
If you finish all 66 falafels before the time runs out, you earn the bragging rights and take home TWO tickets to the National Route 66 Centennial Kickoff concert featuring Little Big Town, Chris Janson, Gary LeVox, Gretchen Wilson, and host actor John Goodman at the Great Southern Bank Arena on April 30.

Time Limit: 60 minutes.
Participation Fee: $25 (required to reserve a spot).
If you finish the challenge:
* No additional charge.
* You win the prize (fastest finisher wins if multiple complete).
If you do not win:
* Total becomes $99.
* Your $25 entry fee is applied, and $74 is due.
* Participant can take home the remainder of their falafels.
Spots are limited.

ROUTE 66 FALAFEL CHALLENGE - OFFICIAL RULES
1. Pre-registration required before 8 PM, Wednesday, April 22. In-person signup only.
2. $25 participation fee required and non-refundable.
3. Participants must check in at least 30 minutes before 2:00 pm on April 25, 2026.
4. Failure to check in by the required time will result in forfeiture of participation fee and loss of participation spot without exception.
5. Prize has no cash value and is non-transferable.
6. Winner must be present to claim the prize.
7. Participants must be 18+.
8. Each participant receives 66 falafel in 3 waves of 22.
9. Time limit is 60 minutes.
10. All falafel must be fully eaten, swallowed, and verified by the judge before time expires.
11. Participants must keep all food down for the full duration of the challenge to qualify as a winner.
12. If you are the winner, no additional balance is due, and the participant wins the prize.
13. If a non-winner, the total cost is $99 (The $25 entry will be applied to the total), and participant can take home the remainder of their falafels.
14. Water provided and refilled.
15. Bathroom breaks are allowed, but the countdown timer does not stop.
16. No outside food or assistance allowed.
17. No sharing, hiding, or discarding food.
18. Participant must remain seated unless using the restroom.
19. Vomiting or unsafe behavior ends the challenge for that participant immediately.
20. Staff may immediately stop the challenge at any time if a participant appears to be in distress or at risk.
21. If multiple participants finish, the fastest time wins. Only one prize will be awarded.
22. All staff decisions are final.
23. This is a high-volume food challenge. Participants should consider their own limits & health before entering.
